Day 34: Pinterest

"It's very difficult to keep the line between the past and the present."
– Edith Bouvier Beale

In preparation for my next musical theatre song which will be a recreation of a performance of any piece to my liking, I am researching the background of my character, Edith Bouvier Beale. The musical I decided to pick a number from is Grey Gardens which is based on a documentary with the same title that is a about the home life of the aunt and cousin to Jackie O. I find their relationship absolutely fascinating and even more so, Little Edie herself. There is a strong chance that many of the following day quotes will be from her...

I may have been slightly inspired by her for today's layered outfit. The dress is worn as a long skirt with grey leggings from Target underneath as well a blue knee-high socks from the same store, my Frye boots (Edith was a fan of wearing long skirts and tall boots together), a Gap long sleeve striped blue shirt donated by Riley and cream Nordstrom cover-up tucked into the skirt, vintage brown leather belt from my grandmother, and cream and-knit hat.

I have lately gone out without any makeup on but I am beginning to realizer that is not the Edie way and may be seen around town in more lipstick because a lady should never leave the house without it.

It is Tuesday so it means many things: Food day, yoga, and practice room date late into the evening. Will I spend too much time on my new favorite craft site? Maybe, probably, yes.
