Day 109: Happy New Year!

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."

-Einstein

New Years Eve never goes according to plan however, this one worked out pretty great. I made it to all four parties I plan on attending, I didn't have to work, I had the best first kiss of the year from my best friend, kissed everyone else at the party for safe measure (Ha!), won my first to games of the new year, and went to the park at 2:30 in the morning.

My 2012 Resolutions
1. Create somethings new out of somethings old.
2. Be frugal.
3. Read a wider variety of literature.
4. Learn German.
5. Get those bar tending skills I have always dreamed about.
And we will throw in the standard "work out regularly", "eat healthier", "loose weight" that we all say but let's be honest, I have probably already broken all of those.

The first outfit of 2012 shows off resolution number one! Crafty. I spent the entire day making things including this fringe scarf the I made out of a large mens shirt that was donated by Lauren's father. This is a look I am going to create again with more shirts. The color scheme of this scarf pulled the look together with the dress being worn as a tank top with a tie of the side, Target light-brown cardigan, grey Gap pants donated by Lauren, vintage shoes and crafty item number two, these earrings I made out of old necklaces I do not wear anymore.

  1. you HANNAH! I don't know what kind of laptop you have but if it's NOT mac, I have a German total immersion course with audio files and very comprehensive lessons that you could have. I have a Mac now and it doesn't work on my computer but I would just give it to you if you want. It's good I just know if I want to learn German fluently I can find a way without the CD's (rosetta sone torrents...cough)
