HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. SEUSS!
Truth: Long socks worn with a skirt and no boots will make you look like a school girl no matter what else you are wearing. So why fight the power of skankdom and embrace the inner school girl hoe-ism and rick rock those socks!
This was just what was done today. After putting on the dress and brown tights donated by Leah, I decided I needed more leg warmth and added the Nordstrom grey long socks, red plaid that was also once Leah's, white cardigan donated by Riley, circle scarf, yes I broke my rule, but it was too cold today, and slipped back into the man shoes. They are my shoes of the week.
My assorted bangles for the day include a breaded Sundance bracelet and eye of God bracelet I got this summer in Turkey.
The section to Conner.
I am in love with this picture. It may be my favorite from the day. I love very much like my Grandmother (my mother's mother) and I miss this dress so much. I am glad I have an excuse to wear it.
This picture is a gem as well. Fashion magazine anyone?
Also, story of the day. My uncle's dog had to be put down last week and I finally had time to call and chat and ask about how my cousin Adele was dealing with the loss of her first pet and Carl laughed and said he would send me a picture so I could see how she is doing. He sent me this.
They made meatloaf for dinner the other night and Adele made it into the shape of Fiona, their dog, in her honor. She wanted to eat the head. I love my cousin but this is hilarious. And sweet. But I can't help but laugh. This is a story that will be brought up for years and years and years...
