“I like to imagine that the world is one big machine. You know, machines never have any extra parts. They have the exact number and types of parts they need. So I figure if the entire world is a big machine, I have to be here for some reason, too. (p378)”

I always like to kick off dead week with a trip to the movies and this year, my date was Jeremy and the movie of choice was Hugo, in 3D. You know that Regal Entertainment intro that simulates a roller coster ride? Well, this evening I watched it for the first time in 3D and it was like the first time I ever saw it in the 90s! I even jumped at the popcorn pop...
3D is always an interesting choice however, seeing as Hollywood is obsessed with it as of late, I suppose I best be getting used to it. I do refused to watch Disney movies that are being released in 3D but I may come in to see the Titanic go down, but only that scene. I will not sit through 4 hours of 3D.
My movie notes for Hugo:
1. Much to long, but very enjoyable
2. If you are going to set a movie in France but have the characters speak English, at least give them French accents and not British
3. Uncle Vernon is going to die any day now
4. Dogs make any movie more fun
5. Asa Butterfield is a combination of the Snodgrass children (the kids I used to babysit)
The date night outfit was made up of the dress worn as a tunic with a cream Nordstrom coverup, donated 80s wash jeans from Lauren, red t-strap ModCloth flats, assorted bangles, and a red beaded necklace from Macy's.
This picture also highlights my new rug that I love.
Happy studying fellow students!
