Day 51: Mary Kate

"Without sounding too pretentious, I was sort of a slave to the narrative. When the narrative cracks in, I have to go where it takes me."
Jon Ronson

Today is Friday and there is a promise ahead for a productive weekend as a prepare for two tests next week but with my new obsession with the zombie slaying game and my need to spend 18 hours in the practice room to be prepared for next week... only time will tell.

Today's challenge on inspiration was anything but... I decided to model after the always Boho styled lady, the Miss Mary Kate Olsen. Wearing an unfitted dress with billowing layers over and tights is not far from my regular attire with the sack, cover-ups and leggings often gracing the posts of this blog.

I realize that this picture does not really show off the entire look but Alec refused to take another after this capture of me appearing to ride the bike. If you could see the whole outfit you would see the sack in dress form with no belted or form adjusting feature, black Target tights, Frye boots, black Nordstrom vest, black Nordstrom cover-up, two gold chain necklaces that I think I got from my mother at some point, and Alec's Andy Warhol glasses. I find this recreation to be mostly accurate, I could have gone a step further and worn my gladiator sandals that she is wearing in the picture but it is much too cold to go without tights and boots.

Side note: The bike has been pictured twice and no, I am not giving it away at the end of the year. I am not wearing it. It is my transportation. Thanks, though.

Have a glorious evening friends!
