Day 52: Coco Sumner

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
Henry David Thoreau

Welcome to the beautiful weekend. I absolutely love the fall. I know I have said that many times but I am reminded of this fact during afternoon strolls to the farmers market sipping on coffee and eating delightful scones with my best friend.

Today, we also fixed the headlight in the car so Alec can drive safely to his concert tonight while I am with the child (I love how much that sounds as if we have a baby... We don't.) The headlight experience was a learning one. What I took away from the job:
1. I need to be more forceful when working on a vehicle
2. Men at Napa judge boys in red cashmere sweaters and girls wearing shorts in November
3. I can fix anything! As long as I have a man near by...

The inspiration for the outfit for the day comes to us from the always fashionable Coco Sumner. For those of you who do not know who that is, Google her. I enjoy her immensely even though she always wears shorts and that is difficult to do in the Pacific Northwest in November.

The dress was worn as a shirt with UrbanOutfitter shorts, grey Target tights, blue old man socks with brown leather old man shoes from Goodwill, Jcrew light-grey blazer, scarf from my mother's closet, and Forever21 sunglasses.

Oh and this was me trying to be "sexy" on the car. You can see how successful that was...
