Day 102: Merry Christmas!
“I LIKE IT. We’re gonna… we’re gonna decorate it… for JESUS. And then I’m gonna hang my socks over the fireplace, fill ‘em with candy…
maybe I’ll tie some leaves to the ceiling
and see if I can get some action. And now I’m gonna puke on that couch. Merry Christmas.”
--Jim Gaffigan
Well my blog just got all kinds of better with my Christmas gist of the year, my new camera! I am just as pleased as my regular viewers that we will now be able to actually see what I am wearing instead of guessing from a blurry outline and awful description. Unfortunately for you, this might mean more unnecessary photographs of things with no significance to fashion or any of your lives and also give me more room to rant and ramble but hey, I am excited to finally have my own camera again since July 2009.
I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas. Mine was wonderful with the mixture of movies, wine, dinner, politics, ridiculous conversation, and a game that I forced all members of the family into playing. And it was fun! Really. It was..
1. The jean skirt contraption my mother made for me. I love her very much.
2. The fact that my aunt and I both did not finish each other's gifts.
3. My new pie tin and book.
4. The new Shel Silverstein poems book.
5. New Christmas socks.
6. And the image that will haunt my brain and keep me from ever having a lot of money of my Uncle Stan in a sequined American flag speedo and a Jimmy Buffet XS tank-top with a bronzed beer belly guarding and cleaning my pool saying, "Mi perro tiene problemas en la piscina."
The holiday garment included the dress being worn in true form with the strings being used as a belt, grey Target tights, Frye boots, my llama sweater, and a Christmas hat!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

Day 90: On the first day of Christmas...
It is twelve days before Christmas so it is time to rewrite the song once more! Instead of having a quote every day for the next week and five days until the big day, I will write the next lyric to my version on "The Twelve Days of Christmas". I will do my best to rhyme and keep it appropriate. Day 89: The Muppets
Things I was reminded of today:Day 88: It is Almost Like a Kimono.
The week up excellence is complete. Seven full days of wonderful occurrences... If history proves itself correct I am up for something horrible to happen. Lets hope that is not the case. Sunday, December 11, 2011
Day 87: Party Hopping
Waking up in a state of pure happiness is an excellent way to start any day but, today was particularly wonderful. Not to mention the first Christmas breakfast of the season with the roommates that included french toast with syrup, powdered sugar and watered down strawberries. Friday, December 9, 2011
Day 86: Street People
It has been brought to my attention that I tend to say certain phrases a lot. I am going to do my best to avoid these from this point forward but I can not promise anything since it is clearly part of my daily vernacular. Thursday, December 8, 2011
Day 85: Great Success!
Finals week: complete. Wednesday, December 7, 2011
Day 84: Man Pies.
This may be the most excellent week of my year which is weird because it is finals week and it should just be awful. But everything is going more than amazingly! Day 83: The Fantasticks
Amos Babcock Bellamy: Well be careful, it's duck season.
Today was the big day of finals week with three finals, two final theatre classes that I went to watch perform, and an audition at the Mount Baker theater. I can leave this day with a feeling of great success because I accomplished them all and feel so great about all of them! Monday, December 5, 2011
Day 82: 30 Rock
-Liz (30 Rock Season 5 Episode 10) played by Tina Fey
Does this outfit scream, "I took my anatomy final at 8 AM and then spent the day studying but in reality really spent the afternoon eating and watching 30 Rock"? Cause it should. Sunday, December 4, 2011
Day 81: Silent Night
There is nothing like falling asleep to the words of wisdom given by none other than Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin with your best friend. Other wins for the day include a morning run in Ugg boots to get to a rehearsal on time, going back to bed, participating in a wonderful holiday concert, and making my mother cry while singing Silent Night. Day 80: Happy Birthday Rachel!
December 3rd is a beautiful day because it marks the birth of my gorgeous sister, Rachel. Even though we have not celebrated her birthday together for the past five years, I still always make rice crispy treats in her honor (this could also just be an excuse to pleasure my sweet tooth...) My newly found obsession is adding peanut butter to this recipe. Delicious. Friday, December 2, 2011
Day 79: It's My Sister's Birthday Already in Thailand!
"I joined Walt Disney, went to work, December 2nd 1935, so obviously, I'm not too young!"
-Marc Davis
I feel as if my sister has two birthday's this year because her birthday is the 3rd but it started on the 2nd because of the time difference between Bellingham and Beijing. I am okay with this because I will be talking to her from 2012 in 2011. Wicked awesome!
The party that I was able to attend was the ugly Christmas sweater party that the choir I am in was having. I don't really consider my sweater "ugly" but I did make it festive with the Santa hat. Thursday, December 1, 2011
Day 78: Advent Calendars Make Me Smile
-Hideki Tojo
I much prefer awkward photos to those that actually show off what I am wearing for the day. Clearly...Wednesday, November 30, 2011
Day 77: House of Wax
Tuesday, November 29, 2011
Day 76: Biutiful
I have become obsessed with Spanish film. And Javier Bardem, but that isn't really a new found fact. Today's movie of choice was Biutiful, a movie I have wanted to watch for some time now because of all the hubbub of last year. However, I really should start to read plot lines before watching films to see if the subject matter will upset me... Terminal Prostate Cancer. Really? Why do I do this to myself. At least the night will end perfectly with ice cream and my best friend. Monday, November 28, 2011
Day 75: The Skin I Live In
So apparently this is the week of movie reviews. We will see how long that goes on because it is dead week and studying should take a priority. Seeing as this is only the second day of the week and I went on a date with Alec today to see a charming little film by Pedro Almodovar at the Pickford with a bunch of elderly, the challenge is still on... Day 74: Hugo
― Brian Selznick, The Invention of Hugo Cabret
The end of the quarter is drawing near... This next week of class is what we like to call, "Dead Week". The week where no tests should be given, no new information is to be learned, and students should spend all free time in the library drinking their 50 cent drip coffees. Unfortunately, not all hold true. I have two finals this week, new lecture information, and I don't have 50 cents, so my coffee with be from home. Saturday, November 26, 2011
Day 73: Pentatonix is my Jam.
If you are going to dress like a homeless person, you might as well go all out, right? Friday, November 25, 2011
Day 72: Black Friday Luck!
You know you are your mother's daughter when:Thursday, November 24, 2011
Day 71: Happy Thanksgiving!
I think I am going to explode...Wednesday, November 23, 2011
Day 70: Canadians Just Shouldn't Be Allowed to Build Houses.
There is nothing like riding shotgun in Speedy dodging traffic like a ninja through the outskirts of Tacoma and along the Steilacoom cost towards Dupont all while rocking out to the musical genius that is LMFAO, Hyper Crush, Panic at the Disco (the good records), and the many mash-ups on Jeremy's "good tunes" playlist. Day 69: Saved by the Brick.
This might be the worst picture I have ever posted onto my blog but, desperate times call for desperate measures. Posting the days post at 7:15 am the day after it one of these occurrences.
